It happens only once a century. No, I'm not talking about the mathematical nerdy-ness of pi being the same as the date 3.1415 which I think is super nerdy cool. I'm talking about me making a pie.
It may not be particularly pretty,
but it did get 2 thumbs up from Jake.
This really is a noteworthy accomplishment. The last time I attempted to make a true, traditional pie was over 10 years ago and it never made it in a pie plate into the oven. It was a horrible disaster. This one wasn't easy, a could barely get the crust to cover the pie without tearing, but at least it resembled one, tasted great and helped us celebrate this once in a century pi day.
